That matters when investigating comfort issues, equipment behaviour, alarms, overrides or changes in control performance.
But useful trending is not about recording everything.
The right signals need to be selected, recorded appropriately, retained long enough and remain accessible in a structure the operations team can actually use.
Without that history, every investigation starts with less evidence and more assumption.
